Autins Group specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of acoustic and thermal insulation solutions primarily in the automotive sector but with an increasing focus on other sectors, including white goods, power generation, marine, apparel, rail, commercial vehicles and industrial sectors.
The directors believe that Autins Group is one of the leading UK suppliers of noise and heat management products in the automotive market, producing and supplying over two million parts per month to customers including some of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, including Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley and Honda.
The management team has overseen significant growth in the business in a challenging macro-economic climate and is committed to leading further growth as a public company. The directors believe there is significant opportunity for ongoing organic growth through product development and broadening relationships through further international expansion, against a backdrop of a strong and growing market.

The company was incorporated and registered in England and Wales on 25 March 2014 under the UK Companies Act with registered number 8958960 as a private company limited by shares with the name Auto Autins Limited. The company resolved to change its name to Autins Group Limited on 13 May 2014 and was issued a certificate of incorporation on change of name by Companies House on 27 May 2014.

Board
Adam Richard Attwood, Non-Executive Chairman
Adam joined the Autins’ Board in January 2016 as non-executive Chairman, having previously provided strategic guidance to the Board since 2013. He has over 20 years’ experience of working with growth-focussed SMEs. Originally a corporate solicitor with Norton Rose Fulbright, he moved into quoted company advisory and European M&A with Charterhouse Bank. He then progressed to direct private equity investment with ISIS Equity Partners (now known as Livingbridge) focusing on investments in the Midlands region. Adam now has a portfolio of non-executive roles with manufacturing and branded businesses with increasing focus on international expansion. Adam chairs the Group’s Nominations Committee.
Mark Taylor, Non-Executive Director
Mark was appointed to the Board in November as a Non-Executive Director and is Chair of the Audit Committee. He is a highly experienced chartered accountant and a member of the ICAEW. He has worked in the accountancy profession throughout his career, at KPMG, Baker Tilly and ultimately for 19 years as a partner in Grant Thornton, before retiring in 2019. He was an audit and transaction support partner specialising in due diligence in his final eight years with Grant Thornton. Mark’s experience covered many sectors including the automotive supply chain. He has also served as a non-executive director and chair of the audit and remuneration committee of Tandem Group plc since 2019.
Andrew Burn, Non-Executive Director
Andrew was appointed to the Board in May 2023 as a Non Executive Director. He is a fellow of the ICAEW . He spent over 20 years at KPMG LLP where he was a partner and during COVID-19 was appointed as the UK Head of Automotive. Andrew has worked extensively in the sector and has a strong network of senior relationships with many automotive OEMS and suppliers. Prior to KPMG Andrew worked for a number of years at N M Rothschild & Sons Limited. He is also the Executive Chairman of Evolution Castings Group Limited and the Grainger & Worrall group of companies.
Gareth Kaminski-Cook, Chief Executive Officer
Gareth joined Autins in October 2018 from Low & Bonar plc, a fully-listed international performance materials group which supplies specialist materials to the Automotive and Flooring industries, where he was Group Director of Strategy, Sales and Marketing and Global Business Director, Interiors and Transportation.
Gareth has 25 years’ experience in market-leading industrial organisations across several business sectors, having worked previously for Saint Gobain, Rexam, BPB and Danaher. He has lived and worked in Asia, the US and Europe, and has a deep understanding of the manufacture and application of specialist acoustic and thermal materials across relevant industrial markets such as Automotive and Building Products. Gareth is a former officer in the Corps of Royal Engineers and a Civil Engineering graduate from Birmingham University.
Kamran Munir, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary
Kamran was appointed to the Board in January 2020 as Group Chief Financial Officer, being a Chartered Accountant with 20+ years experience as a Senior Finance Leader in strategic and operational roles. He has both Corporate and Venture Capital experience including “Dragons Den” projects, and is an Economics graduate from the University of Cambridge. Kamran also serves as CFO for the Coventry Refugee & Migrant centre, and is a founding Trustee for the Open Hearts Open Minds Foundation charity. Formerly Kamran was European Finance Director for Timet within the PCC group of companies.
Senior Management
Joerg Thul, Group Quality Director
Joerg is an experienced quality professional with a background in engineering and a track record in creating, managing and developing the quality function within the automotive supply chain. Joerg is accomplished in the introduction, use and maintenance of core automotive quality and lean core tools and has a degree in Integrated Technologies from Sheffield University.
Phil Hall, Group Engineering Manager
Phil joined Autins in October 2022 and brings 30 years’ experience within the automotive and aerospace manufacturing sectors. Phil is a Chartered Engineer and qualified Executive Coach, having managed at senior levels across a broad range of disciplines within the private sector. Phil has a track record of developing and growing the engineering capabilities of organisations to position the business for growth and success.
Stefan Janzen, Group Applications Manager
Stefan worked for HP Pelzer Group for over 20 years as a research and development engineer focused on automotive acoustic products and solutions, before joining Autins GmbH as Research and Development Manager in late 2013. Stefan has a degree in Biology from Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany.
Matthias Migl, Managing Director, Autins GmbH
Matthias has 20 years’ experience in the automotive industry including with the specialist NVH and soft trim component manufacturer HP Pelzer Group, with a particular focus on acoustics. Matthias has been Managing Director of Autins GmbH since 2013 and holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Friedrich – Alexander University, Erlangen, Germany.
Henrik Pettersson, Operations Manager, Autins AB
Henrik brings 20 years’ experience in the automotive industry, progressing rapidly from operator to operational manager for Schenker Automotive’s direct sequenced supply to Volvo. Henrik played a leading role in the creation, management and development of the start-up Swedish site, with a keen eye on cost, agility and automotive best practice. Since April 2019 Henrik has been the in-country manager for the Autins Swedish operations bringing in Group support to facilitate operational scaling as required. Henrik has a master’s degree in Electricity and Signal Technology from the University of Borås, Sweden.
