Our R&D drives innovation in material science, product performance, and application technologies across automotive and industrial markets.

We partner with customers and suppliers and monitor market developments to guide our project portfolio.

Our dedicated research and product development programme ensures that Autins remains at the cutting edge of acoustic and thermal solutions. Projects are selected based on emerging technologies, changes in regulation, and customer challenges. We analyse data and develop proof‑of‑concepts that anticipate future requirements and deliver value.

We replicate application environments to optimise performance, reduce weight and manage cost.

We carry out bespoke acoustic testing and computer modelling to characterise performance under application‑specific conditions. Material parameters and datasets are analysed to optimise designs for thermal management, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) control. This approach enables efficient material use and delivers cost‑savings without compromise.

Exploring novel materials, improving existing solutions and enhancing durability.

At the Autins Technical Centre we examine existing market products and test new material compositions. We work jointly with suppliers and customers to develop, evaluate and refine both entirely new products and enhancements of current ones. Our aim is to improve thermal, acoustic and environmental performance while supporting manufacturing practicality.

We monitor and adjust projects regularly to ensure our R&D remains relevant and effective.

Research and development projects are subject to regular reviews to validate direction, resource allocation and target alignment. Projects may be initial concepts, prototypes or in production transition. We maintain a balanced R&D portfolio across short‑term improvements and long‑term technology investments.
